2023 News and Milestones
Neal Land & Neighborhoods is thrilled to close out 2023 with a full list of milestones, grand openings, awards, and important events accomplished in the span of one year. This includes progress across our master-planned communities of North River Ranch (NRR) in Parrish, Florida, and Vistera of Venice in Venice, Florida.
Some of the highlights we celebrated in 2023 include:
- In March, the Fort Hamer Road Extension opened from U.S. 301 to Moccasin Wallow Road in North River Ranch, completed through a successful public-private partnership with Manatee County.
- The announcement of plans for an HCA North River Ranch Emergency and future hospital at North River Ranch, bringing quality health care and services to NRR residents and the north Manatee County community.
- The groundbreaking of Camp Creek clubhouse, pool, and activity center in August, our highly awaited 12-acre campus full of recreational amenities and gathering spaces for the community. We completed the first amenity in 2023 – the NRR Trailhead, the place to start a walking, running, or biking adventure. November saw the start of the future Bike Pump Park and 4 pickleball courts.
We recently launched the new website for Vistera of Venice, our gated new home community in Sarasota County, currently under construction. We now have three model homes open for tours from our homebuilder partners, David Weekley Homes and M/I Homes. The Club featuring the central gathering and social meeting place, pool and fitness are underway.
- We welcomed a new homebuilder at North River Ranch, Cardel Homes Florida, which opened two new model homes in the community while several other homebuilders sold out and expanded their home offerings into our second and third neighborhoods – Riverfield and Wildleaf.
- Current development of new phases at North River Ranch include 258 lots in the Longmeadow neighborhood and 239 lots in Crescent Creek, and the expansion of the AVID Trails.
- The groundbreaking of Publix, which will anchor the Market Walk shopping plaza at North River Ranch, providing walkable access to North River Ranch residents. Almost near completion, a grand opening is planned for early 2024. With additional retailers, restaurants, and services to come, Market Walk will be a central destination for the community.
- North River Ranch held three annual community events, Touch-A-Truck, the NRR Trail Run and Winterfest, bringing in thousands of prospective homebuyers and residents to learn and enjoy all this amenity-rich community offers.
Our team expanded its talent this year with three new hires supporting our accounting, marketing and land development efforts. Through the diligent work of our team and partners, we earned more than ten awards from the Manatee-Sarasota Building Industry Association and the National Association of Home Builders ‘The Nationals’ for both our master-planned communities and marketing efforts. North River Ranch also earned the Best of Bradenton’s Gold Awards for Best Master-Planned Community and Best New Home Community for the second consecutive year.
